"Charlie, the next song is 1, 4, 5" .uhwhat is 1, 4, 5? The first time this happened to me, I was too embarrassed to ask what 1, 4, 5 was. I determined that it wouldn't happen again!!! It doesn't have to happen to you!
Let me show you how to REVOLUTIONIZE your thinking of music. In CHORD CONFIDENCE 1, I use only 3 chords (in my unique and enthusiastic way - on a giant guitar!), to show you the structure of most songs that play on our devices and radio.
In CHORD CONFIDENCE 2, I will lead you into a new horizon of understanding! By learning simple Numbered Music Notation, you can actually 'see' what is happening on your guitar neck. Is this something that you think would help you play guitar better?
CHORD CONFIDENCE 2 also helps you understand Song Progression, Chord Variations, and Basic Harmony. Why should you understand basic harmony? Because HARMONY (almost by itself) IS MUSIC. If taught well, harmony is not difficult to understand. CHORD CONFIDENCE 2 is simple in approach, but it's profound. Forever change your musical confidence and ability! You can become an "Effortless Guitar Player!"
- Your guitar;it's helpful to know the major chords of G, C, D, E, A, B (or B7), and F as well as the minor chords of Am, Em, Dm, and Bm.Knowledge of 3 chord progression, and how minor chords relate to major chords is an advantage (this is material covered in Chord Confidence Part 1 - Beginner Guitar).
- I show you Numbered Musical Notation/simple Scale Degrees - learning notes 'by number' helps you to understand music concepts: Song Progression, Chord Variations, and Basic Harmony
The first time I led worship, I was so nervous, that I led the team into a song that I didn't know the words to. It's not easy to lead worship, and to learn the ins and outs, and ups and downs involved with it - as well as the spiritual warfare associated with it.
At age 22, I had an opportunity to go on the road with the christian band Wisdom. While on the road - during an audition with Star Song Records (Newsboys, Matt Redman, Nicole Nordeman, etc) - a simple brief comment made by one of the execs changed my life (more about that on my website). Because of what he said, I realized how the worship relationship is the epitome of the prayer approaches (worship is a form of prayer - more about that in the course).
In 2014, God answered a prayer that I had - as a 'stale' worshiper - I wanted and needed more. His Answer to that prayer resulted in much of the information provided here. The 'Ascribe Worship' Method was birthed - it is the ability to worship for 8 - 10 minutes (or more) in a fluid, God descriptive way, with or without music (of course, music is a beautiful gift to worship with). The result has been never again being 'stale' (except for short periods - where God taught me to learn to grow my 'in awe' level - which I teach in the course - to keep the fires of worship ablaze and kindling).
I come from a very musical family; I am a drummer, an acoustic and electric guitar player, as well as a bass and keyboard player (one pastor actually called me the "Chief Musician"). I did mostly backing vocals with Wisdom, but also sang some small lead vocal parts.
While on the road, Wisdom traveled to many states in this great nation. (During our 3 years of touring – we played on the same stage as Bob Carlisle - ["Butterfly Kisses"] and Mylon LeFevre - both Grammy award winners - as well as Dove award winners). On multiple occasions I have done studio work, and have also recorded two solo projects; (at the end of each module is a small part of my original song called I'm Drawing You).
I live in Louisiana Cajun County with my precious and beautiful wife, Maria, and our three dogs, and am the father of 3 beautiful children.
